Register today for the 2023 – 2024 Catechetical Year

We are offering Faith Formation for 1- 5th Grade middle school, and confirmation this year. Our mission is to communicate the treasures of faith to our young friends and teens and to their parents. Using the Emmaus model, we walk with our families on a journey toward encountering Jesus in breaking open the Word, breaking bread with the whole parish (Family Mass at 9:00 am), sharing the Good News with others in the spirit of fellowship (Building Community), and bringing the faith to others through acts of mission and service (Act Out).

Through Faith Formation, we aim to engage our kids through the traditional faith formation setting on Sunday’s and together with their families encourage them to be active learners and evangelizers of our faith. Faith Formation consists of the children meeting in a traditional weekly setting for elementary grades. As well as middle school and confirmation, meeting typically the second and fourth Sunday’s of the month. In addition to the once a month Faith Formation Mass at the 9:00 am on the first Sunday of the month, and a few family gatherings throughout the year.

Faith Formation – 1 – Fifth Grade:

Faith Formation is a Lifelong Process

Learning about and living the principles of our Catholic faith is a lifelong process and not one intended to cover just those “Special Events” (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, etc.) in the lives of Catholics.

As parents, you dedicated your child at his/her Baptism and made the commitment to educate him/her in the teachings of the Catholic Church. It is precisely for this reason that ALL baptized Catholic children and youth from 1st Grade through 10th Grade not in a parochial school are EXPECTED to attend formal classes every year.

The faith formation responsibility includes the following:

  • Enrolling your children in a formal Faith Formation program
  • Ensuring attendance at weekly Faith Formation classes
  • Family worship at Mass every Sunday
